Senior Drop Raise Miner

Job Description

Oversee sinking operations as a Drop Raise Miner at an underground mine. You will operate heavy machinery to excavate vertical shafts to provide access and reinforce openings.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and risk assessments
• Operate machinery such as raise boring rigs, roof bolters and load haul dumps
• Monitor geotechnical conditions and ground support needs
• Ensure proper material handling and logistics support
• Achieve daily excavation targets
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance
• Accurately record production data

Requirements

• Mining certificate/qualification as a Drop Raise Miner
• 3+ years experience operating heavy underground mining equipment
• Strong geotechnical knowledge and risk assessment skills
• Attention to detail and focus on quality work
• Ability to lead and mentor teammates
