Underground Miner – Gold Mine – Nelspruit

Job Description

A well-established gold mining operation near Nelspruit is looking for an experienced Underground Miner to lead a production team and uphold rigorous safety standards on every shift.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily underground mining activities to meet production targets
• Oversee drilling, blasting, and ore-handling operations
• Conduct workplace inspections and hazard/risk assessments
• Maintain accurate production and safety records
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective action
• Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among the crew
• Supervise and mentor underground production teams

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Valid Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
• Minimum 5 years underground gold mining experience
• Sound knowledge of mine health and safety legislation
• Proven supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Medical Certificate of Fitness for underground work
