Rock Drill Operator – Underground Mining – Rustenburg

Job Description

Join a leading Rustenburg platinum belt mining operation as a Rock Drill Operator. We are hiring immediately for a hardworking, safety-conscious team member to join our underground production crew. Excellent pay, ongoing training, and real career progression into Team Leader and Miner roles.

Responsibilities

• Operate rock drill machinery to drill blast holes per shift targets
• Follow strict safety, health, and environmental procedures at all times
• Support the loading and charging of blast holes under supervision
• Conduct pre-use equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Participate in daily safety briefings and risk assessments
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free working area underground
• Work efficiently as part of a rotating shift team to meet production targets

Requirements

• Valid Rock Drill Operator Certificate
• Blasting Certificate (advantageous)
• Medical Certificate of Fitness for underground work
• 1+ years underground mining experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work rotating shifts
