Job Description

Install ground support and complete construction tasks as a Stope Timber Worker in an underground mining operation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work area safety standards are met
  • Operate mechanical tools and equipment
  • Properly barricade and clean work sites
  • Make areas safe by installing supports as needed
  • Fit equipment and prepare construction materials
  • Report any abnormal activities
  • Install pipes according to procedures

Requirements

  • Grade 10 with numeracy and literacy skills
  • Grade 12 qualification is preferable
  • Completed timber training module
  • Passed maintenance course
  • Competent B qualified

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months as PTV/trainee
