Our client is recruiting a Electrician – Mining Processing Plant based in Postmasburg, Northern Cape (Permanent (Full-time)). This is a live mining-sector vacancy — apply today to be considered.

About the Role

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position, ELECTRICIAN – MINING PROCESSING PLANT, at the Lomoteng Mine, situated in Postmasburg, Northern Cape Province

Key Responsibilities

Operate electrical testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters) to diagnose faults.
Maintain and repair power supply circuits, emergency stop systems, alarms, belt weighers, iron separators, dust suppression systems, and distribution cabinets.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, relays, and control circuits.
Handle wiring for new equipment, site lighting, pumps, and crane systems.
Perform routine inspections, complete service records, and coordinate with mechanical teams during shutdowns.
Comply with MHSA and production management regulations.

Requirements

Valid Red Seal electrical trade certification.
Minimum 2 years in mineral processing plants (manganese/metal ore preferred) and motor re-wiring, will be an added advantage
Proficient in Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures; familiar with safety codes for high-altitude, humid, and dusty environments
Applicants should be between the age of 22 – 40, and physically fit to can do high altitude electrical work
