Junior Process Engineer – Minerals Processing – Pretoria

Job Description

A minerals processing team based in Pretoria is looking for a Junior Process Engineer to support metallurgical test work and plant optimisation across gravity and magnetic separation circuits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate metallurgical test work programs and analyse plant performance data
• Support commissioning of new processing equipment
• Conduct site visits to assess and optimise plant performance
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for engineering teams
• Collaborate with laboratories and engineering consultants on process improvements
• Monitor production metrics and help develop standard operating procedures
• Support compliance with health and safety standards on site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
• 1–3 years’ experience in minerals processing or metallurgical engineering
• Experience with gravity or magnetic separation plants advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/data analysis
• Valid driver’s license with own transport
