Job Description

As a Foreman at an underground mine, you will oversee and maintain engineering equipment and machinery, leading teams of technicians and artisans to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Manage breakdowns and emergencies
  • Supervise maintenance activities
  • Monitor performance and productivity
  • Record and report on legal examinations
  • Optimize work planning and task prioritization

Requirements

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Certified competence as a Fitter
  • 2+ years of experience as a Fitter, preferably in underground mining
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficient in technical maintenance
  • Safety-focused mindset
