Job Description
Manage health, safety, and risk reporting systems at a mining operation. You will oversee programs, audit processes, and ensure compliance.
Purpose of the Job
To administer legal and internal reporting requirements in line with mining regulations and management systems.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Safety or risk management diploma is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years administration experience in risk department
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of safety systems like CURA and SharePoint
- Understanding of mining health and safety principles
- Statistical analysis and interpersonal skills
- Medical certification for the role
Key Performance Areas
- Oversee health, safety and environment programs
- Participate in internal audit program
- Assist with legal compliance reviews
- Support operational auditing and reviews
- Contribute to training standards
