Job Description

As a Drop Raise Miner at our underground mine, you will oversee sinking operations, operating heavy machinery to excavate vertical shafts, ensuring access, and reinforcing openings.

Responsibilities:

• Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Operate machinery, including raise boring rigs, roof bolters, and load haul dumps.
• Monitor geotechnical conditions and ground support requirements.
• Ensure proper material handling and logistics support.
• Achieve daily excavation targets.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Accurately record production data.

Requirements:

• Mining certificate or qualification as a Drop Raise Miner.
• 3+ years of experience operating heavy underground mining equipment.
• Strong geotechnical knowledge and risk assessment skills.
• Attention to detail and a focus on quality work.
• Ability to lead and mentor teammates.
